  despite all the corniness I do relate to charlie and “we accept the love we think we deserve” is increasingly violent as the years pass.
  Oddly enough this is the only film I’ve seen which depicts a former SA survivor who herself (also a female perpetrator; which is rarely shown) is an abuser in adulthood.   every one of Joel’s films I’ve seen makes me feel so genuinely inspired to create. 
  this was such a wholesome, genuine, funny movie. Made me feel so grateful for all the people in my life who I would be happy to spend a whole day locked in a room with :)
