Amarcord is not a movie for everyone. It is a film for those who appreciate the daily struggles of ordinary people, the small pleasures of life and a diagesis filled with truth and depth. Since I thrive on all of those listed above, Amarcord is an artpiece that will stay in my thoughts for sometime.
The script is not the traditional narrative. There is not much development throughout the film, it almost seems like you are watching people live there lives.
