Stalked by a moustached daddy with a European accent... And it's meant to be a horror movie? 😍

I found the relentless diva-ness of the first half pretty frustrating, but this really started to open up for me in the second half once the facade starts to fall away.

I'm not sure that it gets at anything entirely original (it hones in on a part of a tortured artists life that we've seen a thousand times before), but it also really comes alive in the flashback scenes, and has a pretty impactful final sequence.

Angie does some genuinely great lip syncing!

Really made me wonder where this was going until it just powers up and explodes into action. Really powerful and upsetting, but I don't think the ending quite works, and kind of robs it of most of its impact. An interesting experiment though.

Vile, exploitative and cruel misery porn.

Disrespectful to the memory of Norma Jeane, her work, her legacy, and to the viewer.

I mean, what are we meant to take away from this? Why does this movie hate its characters so aggressively? Why do we need to watch and endure her relentless suffering? Why does this need to exist or be seen?

I was struggling to connect in the first half, but boy can that second half completely go and fuck off. Yuck.
