This movie was gross physically, morally, and ethically but I could not stop watching. This movie is very satirical, almost borderline parody on something that could very realistically happen in the not-so distant future.

It’s really summer raunchy flick season and so much representation hello????? I went in sort of blind. I don’t usually watch these kinds of movies but I wanted to support my Asians esp. Stephanie Hsu, but man I did not expect to see some of the things shown on the screen. They just barely censor most of the scenes except for one that was built up to that moment.

This movie is exactly how you think the movie would be: boy meets girl, they have some cute moments but one character has conflicts, they have a big blowout, then happy ending where everything works out.
It’s not that much different from Luca other than romance and immigration. I wish they had leaned more into the immigration part or maybe even get more involved with the city to build better infrastructure that doesn’t directly harm fire town. But I guess…
