    19. Dystopian future

I didn't quite know what to make of this Ozploitation Mad Max wannabe from forty years ago, but then I realized I was watching a documentary about the USA in 2025. There is no degradation that very stupid white folks won't gladly suffer so long as they can freely express their racism, and commit violence against those they perceive to be below them. Depressingly topical.

This was not at all the movie I wanted it to be. I wanted Sara to join forces with the kidnapper and slaughter the entire town like titular piggies. Everyone was a shit to Sara and I'd pay good money to watch them all be torn apart and eaten by wild dogs. What we got instead was much less satisfying. I hated it. Then, to add insult to injury, when the movie ended Hulu recommended the movie Dashcam, which I hated even more than I hated Piggy. What the fuck? That's Di$ney for you.

109 minutes of Haneke being an edgelord who condemns the very audiences that give him their money. Fuck Haneke--just a pretentious mean-spirited filmmaker biting the hand that feeds him and calling it art. Haneke must enjoy the smell of his own farts so much he assumes everyone else loves it too--and his attitude is clearly fuck all those who don't swoon at the aroma. Given the reviews here and its inclusion in the Criterion collection, there are tons who fall…

Another in the line of films that are defiantly boring. I was with it for about ten minutes before I realized it was one of "those" films and I checked out. I could appreciate this if it were an experimental short. This aesthetic in small doses could be quite effective. However, at 100 minutes, this is unwatchable. The movie sucks. This is one for the "cool" kids who like things that everyone else hates just because they hate them; or…
