  Man, this film hits home. The nostalgia of family holidays- even the little things like the nicknames the father has for his daughter “trouble”. A tale of a young girl peaking over the wall to see what desire, love, gender roles, sexuality and mental health. The portrayal of father and daughter relationship is gorgeous. Most importantly, check in on the men in your life. Fucking hell- I don’t know what else to say

  So this film is on the top 30 of criterion’s top picks for best film and I genuinely can’t fathom why. 

  I don’t know if I watched the wrong movie or it was somehow a dud copy but this genuinely made little impact on my psyche. 

  Perhaps I’m a psychopath idk.
