    Absolutely beautiful but slightly questionable.

     I left the cinema with a sense of awe and wonder that quickly turned sour the more I let it sit. Don’t get me wrong I really did enjoy this movie; the costumes, the acting, the humour, the dialogue the god damn set design…..breathless. It also evokes a sense of madness and wonder á la Alice and wonderland which my inner child thoroughly enjoyed.

    Beautifully depressing.

    A surrealist tale of the end of the world through the perspective of two sisters: one with debilitating depression, the other with crippling anxiety which is only heightened as thoughts of the apocalypse loom.
    Absolutely stunning cinematography, I particularly liked how many of the scenes were direct depictions of famous paintings throughout history and the first 10 minutes of the opening scene could be hung In a museum (if possible)
    If the apocalypse could be put through rose tinted lenses, it would be melancholia.
