good lord, I love movies so much, and wow was this a great one. beautiful and exacting and brilliant and absolutely devastating, with all the fine-tuned tension of a horror film.

great editing, beautiful costuming, and quality writing. the movie was funny, as expected, but also surprisingly genuine and heartfelt
it takes a lot of skill to build tension when your entire audience already knows the ending — so props to this whole team for making me stress over the idea of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, (a show that is currently in its fiftieth season, is the proud winner of 101 emmy awards, and has become so big that it can no longer claim to be "counterculture") not making it to air
p.s. it's fun to watch the first snl episode immediately after
