The movie tells the life of Frida told through Fridas own words (with a few other primary sources scattered throughout). Cool concept and I liked the vision but I do not think the film was executed well. Out of all of Fridas written works (from dairies, to letters, to essays, and more) the narrative the film chose to portray felt very cherry picked and over simplified. And for such a heroine, the film seems to largely revolve around Frida‘s relationships…
