Barbie 2023
Controversial to what I thought the movie was about…this movie actually explores the depth of the unrealistic ideas of the patriarchy much like barbie herself. Watching this with my mom probably contributed to the 5 star rating but as a female this movie really captures what it is to be a woman. The mixed emotions throughout the movie interrupted by creative jokes was an amazing watch. Personally, I think barbie choosing to live at the end is what we all relate to when it comes to ‘facing reality’ and us choosing to live everyday. Also…Margot Robbie is beautiful 😍.
