I appreciated the commentary on aging, sexism, the female gaze, and self hatred. However as this was my first body horror film I’m quite disturbed by the grotesque prosthetics and special effects.

Captain America: Brave New World 2025
pacing was a bit off. plot & action were good. wish they’d picked a better actor to play Ross. enjoyed the banter between Sam and Joaquin. the whole plot was a good metaphor for the current state of America.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2021
The action sequences were epic. I loved this origin story and how it maintained the storylines from Shang-Chi’s comics. I enjoyed the Chinese language dialogue. Meng’er Zhang is an incredible actress and I’m looking forward to watching her career take off.

This was a good romance movie, I just thought it was a little predictable with the ending. However, since it's based on a true story, I think the ending is very tragic. There were predictable elements with a particular scene where the MFC screams in a car after being told bad news.
