  this movie gave me the reassurance that even though you can get shot 7 times, fall off a balcony,  get brutally stabbed through all your internal organs you will be able to fight back on an attacker… phew 😅

  in my opinion this movie is an asian film for white people, very white washed, and dumbed down. The asian cast had british accents and spoke english? it just felt very un authentic and un realistic. The movie was based in Asia but the whole movie is in english and doesn’t touch on any cultural significance, just felt very Hollywood trying to be ethnic. 

  Compared to a very good Asian film ‘The farewell’ which is subtitled, culturally appropriate, and actually feels like an authentic asian film
