Genuinely one of the most surprising films I've seen in years. It did not have to go this hard, my only small issue is the tiktok-speed pacing, which kinda made some of the jokes and moments hard to follow for me, but it was still great.

Is it a bad, cheesy fantasy movie? Or is it a straight witty parody of those movies? Well the film doesn't know, and doesn't have a great deal of either compelling drama or particularly funny jokes. War for the Planet of the Apes 2017
Boring, far too long, fake-deep commentary that doesn't really hold any weight, some really awful acting from the human characters, enough plot holes to be mistaken for swiss cheese, scenes drag on for years and are filled to the brim cringeworthy dialogue. The only redeeming factor is the CGI, which is fantastic as usual, but if you've seen any other of the new planet of the apes movies, then its starting to lose its wow factor. Even my dad, who loved the last movie, literally dozed off during this one.
