Honestly, an essay would have conveyed it better. I hate the format of this film the same way I hate Youtubers rambling in front of a camera. Isn’t writing the most direct and least redundant form of expression?

Halle is an actress who fully embodies the charm of musical performance—every muscle and expression moved by her singing is exceptionally vivid and touching. Letting go of preconceived biases and appreciating her beauty and strength on the big screen is an expansion of aesthetic experience.
Watching it in Harlem with a full audience made it an especially wonderful experience.
