a brilliant movie on its own, but pales in comparison to the novel. a lot of details that made the story feel so dark and daunting were simply omitted. the ending feels empty and not as thrilling. still, it’s eerily beautiful, I loved the saturated colors and the use of geometrical patterns, every shot is just so tasteful and full of emotions. no need to talk about the actors’ performance, one of the best i’ve ever seen. it’s better to think of it as a separate piece of art after all.
