The Tall T 1957
A spare, economical suspense western shouldered on the etched-in-the-earth face of Randolph Scott. And I don't want to throw another hat into the short movies versus long movies debate (because it's pointless) but I am so impressed by this films ability to get in and get out. It has attitude and grandness between the pages, and its low budget scrappiness gives it equal parts charm and edge.
