Revenge is dialectical. It negates the metaphysical "stand-still" of actions. When T-Bird is being duct taped to his car, after realizing whom the duct taper is, wails about the impossibility of coming back. There is no coming back, at least to the metaphysicist. The disorder, the chaos, the "one-damn-thing-after-another" must be met with a force that gives it life, that gives it meaning. His actions, which he thought metaphysical, must result in its dialectical consequence. The chaos must be met with order, which also happens to have face paint on and plays rock music.

    Anyway, the movie was alright.

South indian, specifically malayalam film has mainly been a sphere of social realist narratives. I remember hearing from one of close family members that, "in malayalam cinema, you will only see what can happen on this earth". At the time I found that sad because all my favorite films were western block busters (I was a child okay ;-;). Now, I still find it sad because it isn't true. Mainstream malayalam cinema is "realist" in the sense that it depicts…

Ive never seen a film hate the poor as much as this film. Adding a bit of south Indian conservative liberal propaganda on the side and you get a cocktail of painful slow-motion-every-other-second fight scenes that made me wonder if all action films are shit (no they arent, I watched John Wick right after).

Ignoring the fighting and the hate for the working class, what you get is a nothing burger. Its as if kids wrote a film about kids and adults decided to throw hoards of money at it. Fucking hell man.

wow... now this is a textbook example of how the culture industry works to reinforce patriarchal liberal class and gender roles unto people. This is a diluted barbie with 0 self awareness, no pretty colors nor a back bone to experiment. I should have been watching 500 days of summer or chunking express with a friend but decided to go see this in theatres...
AND WE'D HAVE PIRATED THHOSE FILMS TOO...
