Βρέχει στη φτωχογειτονια, βρέχει και στην καρδιά μου
Πήγα να σχολιάσω για το πόσο περίεργο είναι το μοντάζ σε κάποιες φάσεις, αλλά μόλις διάβασα ότι έχει κοπεί τουλάχιστον ένα μισάωρο από την ταινία 🥹
Αυτό που όμως υπάρχει, είναι ένας μοναδικός ελληνικός νεορεαλισμος, που πραγματικά σε αγγίζει.
Pretty fucking intense, wrong place at the wrong time action film, where a locksmith is called to open a door, probably the worst door of his entire life. It has some typical tropes and falls on a few clichés, but this is an amazingly shot, thrilling ride from start to finish. Plus it takes place over the course of one night, so you know you're in for a treat. I was at the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
Each shot perfectly calculated to look like a painting, each costume and hair-style measured up to fit accordingly to the characters, every music cue picked carefully to tense the atmosphere, every actor giving quite possibly the performance of a lifetime (except maybe Dafoe) and direction that is so flawlessly raw and cinematic, that truly feels like Robert Eggers is a gift to the filmmaking community. I gasped and goosebumped during this movie, and it really got me thinking that life is too short to be spend on bad movies, because "Nosferatu" is in each and every word, absolute cinema.
-I genuinely think Ingmar Bergman would love Barbie, probably would be one of his favorites
-Am I the only one that thinks Ken looks like a prettier Popeye with blonde hair?
-The musical scenes and the dancing choreography are some of the best and most energetic I have seen in a while, and holy shit this movie could have been straight up a musical and RULE even more
-I also really feel that this is as perfect as kids movies…
