The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014
After the decently paced introduction, establishing the “Telephone Game” of narrators, the film unfolds like a clockwork doll house which is a pleasure to watch. Visually the film is just nice to look out; both the set for the Grand Budapest is incredible, epically after looking into how it was put together, inside and out. Both the costumes and design fit the period and authentic nicely, this being pre-war aristocratic Europe. This ties into the films plot and themes. The…

My favourite part of the movie was when my laptop crashed during it, followed by the worst part being when I releaised I had only watched the first half hour of it.
What was a charming one panel comic strip has been stretched thin like butter on not enough bread with a weak script, acting, effects and general execution. The cookie-cutting family plot somehow with less depth than the paper the comic was printed on.
