Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024
This had two strands of storyline that were entirely unnecessary and, in my opinion, they overcrowded what could have been an excellent film. Monica Bellucci and Willem Deffoe were surplus to requirement and I'm still wondering what their respective plot lines were. Some great moments, and as batsh*t as you'd expect from a Beetlejuice sequel but just missed the mark for me.

Back to Black 2024
Letterboxd seems to have been hijacked by people who spew hate for a living. This film was genuinely great. A beautifully tragic love story between Amy, Blake, her family, London, and jazz. Plus, Marisa Abela's performance is incredible. She steps into Amy Winehouse's shoes seemingly effortlessly; if this isn't a springboard to mega-stardom then we're doing things very wrong.
Obviously I'm not ignorant to the fact that they will have embellished Amy's story somewhat but you could tell at the heart of the movie was a deep love for Amy Winehouse.
