  My only regret relating to this film is that I didn’t manage to see it in the cinema. 

  One of the things it left me thinking about is the proximity of intimacy and violence. How religious figures/institutions can be weaponised to dispossess people of their land and autonomy.

  Clearly John Wick is a touch point for this film, I mean they pretty much say so in the dialogue but for me Monkey Man achieves a higher level of vulnerability. The…
