Theme is there, but the execution could be better.
For me, it is always more important that a film delivers a message than delivers it well. That is certainly the case with this film. It has some great reflection on guilt, trauma, and mental illnesses. It did a great job at portraying the horrific nature of the protagonist’s delusions and her inability to distinguish it from the real world, and the end result is the fear of reality.
