Woman of the Hour 2023
Most horror films fail to frighten me anymore, this film did. I recognised her feelings of fear all too well, as I’m sure a lot of women did when watching this: that sickly, panicked feeling when you realise a man cannot be trusted… and that you’re in danger. That’s true horror. Amazingly depicted.

Under the Shadow 2016
Too many people do not understand that this is more than just a horror film, but also a profound social commentary on the treatment of women. They are not only under the shadow of the entity, but also of oppression. Therefore I don’t think it can be called a carbon copy of the babadook, that dismissive label discredits everything else the film is about.
