Screw Fast and the Furious, the racing scenes in this film are outstanding. As someone who isn't all that knowledgeable about the history of racing, I can't speak to the accuracy of the story here, but it was told very well. I felt strongly connected to Ken Miles and his family. Even the behind the scenes machinations of car companies kept me interested. A stunning film on every level. Levan Gelbakhiani is outstanding and enchanting in the lead role. His performance is deeply evocative and the character journey we witness is one I'll remember for a long time. I don't know much about the Country of Georgia and am interested in learning more, but from the reading I've done, it seems Levan put a lot of himself into the role which comes across very strongly.

It's hard to judge this movie on its own merit which is a shame. It was visually breathtaking and had a few good ideas. I just do not buy whatsoever that this is the movie Andy watched in 1995 which made him a fan of Buzz. And that unfortunately weighs the movie down.

I liked this one better than Strange 2 and Thor 4 by a lot. It still suffered in ways that I think the MCU should have outgrown by now, including a lack of polish when it comes to VFX.
