The Doom Generation 1995
beautifully shot, amazing lighting. a brutal meditation on sex and death. i especially love Araki labeling it as “a Heterosexual film by Gregg Araki,” as it follows a (somewhat) traditional hollywood narrative, unlike one of his films like Totally F***ed Up, which he labels “another homo film by….” as it uses 15 different pieces of celluloid which are loosely connected, queering the traditional hollywood narrative style.
