Lucky Grandma 2019
A fun jaunt. I might have missed out an some of the specific cultural humor, but who can’t fall in love with a coming of age story? ...,but I wouldn’t bill it as a comedy?
It has the rhythm of a john hughes movie. The stunt work is charming, but it has moments of not taking its meds, all-the-while staying true to a moral compass.
The music was very New York, to me. Jazz riffs take me to the east coast. The idea of triad grandma might have ‘altered’ my perception, a little. Sneaky oboes.
