The beach - ah, how time passes onward, the waves but its metronome. When visiting it, I can't help but think of Woolfe's The Waves, the prose-poem that interspersed the novel that described the the endless assault on the shores, not unlike the way new generations, without cease, grew up and found their crest, before crashing back down upon the shore... with regularity.
