  Its strength relies in the intricate and well-thought-out mythology that serves as background to the story. Unfortunately, it seems they bit more than they could chew: attempting to show the details of the fantastic world of Kumandra in only 100 minutes, the result is frentic and rushed, while none of the charcters have any real development. The animation, although absolutely beautiful, is both too realistic (some of the human characters are 100% 'uncanny valley' material) and too cartoonish (specially the dragons, whose design doesn't fit with the gorgeous locations). Could've been much better with a little less ambition.
