Honestly not sure about this one.
Positives: yes, I was brought to tears and enjoyed the spotlight on Cleo’s character, someone who would usually be kept in the shadows. The soundscape was interesting, watching it with my headphones in allowed me appreciate it rather then find it distracting. This feminist message is there and as an homage to Cuaron’s maid it is enjoyable and moving at face value.

This is a beautiful film. Not only storyline but also the imagery, each shot could be a painting in itself. I loved the parallels to Orpheus and Eurydice throughout, it is a beautiful story of forbidden love.
