Gerald's Game 2017
When I heard Gerald's Game was being adapted into a movie, I was excitedly skeptical – when I heard Mike Flanagan was directing it, I was all in. And of course, Mike Flanagan kills it again.
This movie is uncomfortable, isolated, surreal, and affecting. It features scenes so squirmy and gross that my stomach still hurts 30 minutes after the end credits rolled. This is what horror movies are supposed to make me feel.
