I love the idea of painting the manson family out to be the losers they actually are instead of romanticizing their story. Instead of focusing the movie on sharons infamous murder, he presents an alternate reality where sharon gets her happily ever after. It shows that she should be remember instead by her character and bright personality, instead of by the tragedy that followed her. great movie <3

manic pixie dream girl final boss.
honestly this movie was more of a 3 starer for me, but i think its commitment to creating a unique directing/editing style earned itself an extra half star. The expectation vs. reality split-screen, the interview of friends, the non-linear time jumps, the fading into animations, it was truly one of a kind. some more things I liked about it:
