  Slow, moody Gothic thriller (are “thriller” and “slow” mutually exclusive??), but I enjoyed it.  Casting Melling as Edgar Allan Poe was spot-on, but sadly I couldn’t get past last seeing him in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.   I don’t regret watching it, but I’m not sure I’d watch it again.
