The Monkey 2025
This is more of a comedy than a horror movie. Dare I say it could have been gorier? The writing is pretty weak, and the tone feels disjointed. While there are some great scenes, the film ultimately feels like it’s missing some pieces to make it a genuinely good movie.
You’ll either laugh a lot and have a great time or hate it and think it’s the dumbest shit ever….

This is a lot of fun. It is suspenseful, funny and has some twists if you go into it blind. The plot isnt quite watertight and you have to take certain aspects at face value. But, it has a great commentary on male entitlement, relationships and a future that we could realistically be seeing very soon.
The healthiest on screen relationship I’ve seen in a while….

A Complete Unknown 2024
Most biopics about famous musicians are a bloated mess, trying to cover their entire life story. Don’t get me wrong this shit is still long. But it focuses on Dylan’s early years, which I found refreshing.
The music is really well adapted, and the acting is top-notch. I talk a lot of shit about T Chalamet’s acting, but he’s fantastic in this. My only complaint is that Bob Dylan was kind of an asshole.

Visually stunning, violent and epic. But, that is about where anything I have positive to say about this movie ends. The writing and plot are bad. The cast is okay, and does the best with what they’re given. Does nothing to justify it’s existence as a sequel to one of my favorite movies of all time. I was not entertained….
