A really cool student film with talent on every front. It gets brownie points from me for filming at iconic locales on UNC’s campus, but loses some points, as it could have included 40% more Paul.

    Great job guys!

    The Amazing Spider-Man 2

This may be the worst Spider-Man film ever theatrically released, but it really isn’t awful. The main issues are that the film is overstuffed with three villains, and that all three fail to intimidate because they are dorks or (in the case with Rhino) have no screen time.

The world building in Dune Part 1 is so up my alley. Denis Villeneuve only makes bangers, and Dune is no exception. The cinematography, costuming, and special effects are all top notch (if not quite to the level of Villeneuve’s past works). My biggest gripe is the movie ending part way through the book. In my opinion, no story can be truly great without a proper ending. Once Dune Part 2 comes out, Dune might become a 5 star film, but for now, I’ll withhold top marks.
