Just watched for the second time since it came out and holy moly it's phenomenal. enjoyed the pacing more than other recent biopics
the costume budget is enough to excuse the bit of silly CGI. i love how they show elton's self love journey after how harsh his parents & john are towards him for 2 hours. also discussed and portrayed the sexuality journey in a way that didn't feel inauthentic which like -- it's based on real life so it'd be hard to do that
taron egerton can sing the lights out (and sing 2 the lights out). bernie is a top tier friend

A Complete Unknown 2024
Very much enjoyed everyone's performances (both acting and singing) -- I would've liked a few more scenes exploring Bob and Joan's relationship and more of the writing process of Like A Rolling Stone. It was a 3.5 gut reaction but I couldn't get any of it out of my head so I'm bumping it up
