They could be together as a whole after all, if they wanted to. Just need to confess what they really feel, and how they are not able to do without themselves. If people were brave enough, it could be easier life for all sides. At least, regretting something you said hurts less than regretting something you didn't say.I wish they would start again and be together forever.
