  Non nostalgic americana. Exceptionally hot summer sunlight refracts through a magnifying glass exploring a socio-cultural microcosm of America - 1980s Brooklyn , the concentrated point of energy is felt throughout the entire runtime. It's even audible through the white noise. Self aware, prophetic but also not very didactic, which isn't exactly a detriment. There is still much confusion after all. Larry Bird scene was phenomenal.

  Don't like TogeToge's music... Subaru rocks the ahoge like few have before and every second with her in frame was absolute kino. Incredible use of cgi to emphasize expressiveness. Subaru and the expressiveness definitely carries this though. Nina is such a cunt but its consistent which is fun and not a detractor. I liked some of her crashouts. Also Your Name aesthetics in the OP?
