Final Destination 2000
Though it has gone through the sequel machine, the original movie still has a great, excellently realized premise that can easily bring the paranoia out of anyone. The opening scenes and premonition are still skillfully scored and shot, though the movie's tone and ideas tend to leave a lot of half-baked threads that dont add too much, but its still a fun ride to get on, and the cast does a solid job in the roles.

Speed Racer 2008
There is nothing quite like this movie. It perfectly captures what made Speed Racer...well, Speed Racer. Well the CGI hasn't aged super gracefully, the true kaleidoscope of colors and the sheer dedication of capturing the show in live action works. Taken for what it wants to be, an amazing family film and a tribute to the show, it succeeds perfectly.
