    Fun and goofy, the more I think about it, the more I love it.

    No, it's not a showstopper of a movie. Yes, the themes are on the nose. No, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette do not play actual human characters with feelings and emotions. And yes, the structure of the ending is a distracting bit of turbulence.

    Sundance 2025 Movie #2.

    Cinematography and sound design are the standouts here, along with. Jade Croot's acting. A promising start slumps off the rails as the movie plods along. Not sure if this movie was too long or missing an ending. Themes did not really land for me, yet I lack interest in discussing its symbolism. I never emotionally bought into the supernatural elements.
