The Zone of Interest: Glazer’s film builds its horror not through violence but through distance, as everyday life continues while the machinery of genocide hums in the background.
And as Höss dry heaves in the final moments, I was reminded of the chilling documentary The Act of Killing where a man who spent decades rewriting his own narrative suddenly breaks down when forced to stand in the space where he murdered. The body reacts when the mind refuses.

    The Florida Project

    ★★★★

The Florida Project: Capturing childhood like few others, this story follows a group of non-actors whose natural performances make the world feel all the more real, held together by Dafoe effortlessly slipping into his role as the weary yet warm motel manager. It’s Sean Baker’s signature neorealism at its finest, putting a spotlight on groups often ignored.

And last night, Baker cemented himself as an independent cinema legend, making history with four Oscars for Anora. His speeches were as genuine as the films he makes and I can't wait to see what he does next.

Mulholland Drive: Exposing the nightmare of Hollywood, where the price of fame is paid on the casting couch.

Rest in Peace, David Lynch. A one of a kind artist and a truly sweet, kind man.

Poor Things: Yorgos Lanthimos lets his cast break away from his trademark deadpan acting style in this film, taking Emma Stone on a surreal journey of self-discovery.
Returning to ‘The Favorite’ cinematographer Robbie Ryan and his distinctive fisheye lenses, coupled with a completely unique and fitting soundtrack, alongside excellent performances from every member of the cast, made this film my most entertaining cinema experience in years. Get ready to rethink life and the perks of having a brain with a fresh perspective.

    Dune: Part Two

Dune: Part Two: All of Villeneuve's films maintain an exceptionally high standard, never delivering a dud, and this one proves once again he’s one of few directors capable of handling monumental work like Dune, as well as Blade Runner.
However, I’m concerned about the challenges of adapting the upcoming books to film, they veer into extremely bizarre territories and Denis already commented on that and that he’s most likely done with the franchise if he directs Dune Messiah.
