This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The twists are perfectly adequate, (and Sigma Gyllenhaal executes them with memorable flair); Huge Actorman shines even in his unlikeable Boogaloo Boy character. The half star is decidedly lost in the ending; A little too much Inceptionesque ambiguity in Keller Dover’s rescue for my taste. It would of course have logically followed for the consummate and inexorable detective to discover and heroically emancipate Dover, but the failure to realise this assumed end on screen does result in a palpable unease, undeniably boding thematically or tonally better than the more clear cut conclusion I admittedly desire. Still, a nail biting, jaw clenching watch without close rivals.
