Led Zepplin music in a theater and not a midnight movie…go now, IMAX if possible. Big fan who was clueless on the origin story. Great opportunity to see 60+ year olds rockin out in their seats.
Adjacent recommendation, The Talking “Heads Stop Making Sense” by Brian DePalma (RIP).
Fast paced action drama with some occasional comedic vibes. A bit of a whodunit and slightly “Knives Out-ish.” Strong cast with large scoops of international spy intrigue. Good lessons regarding skipping dinner parties at coworkers homes. If you ever need a reason to avoid sharing details on a subject simply utter “black bag.” Oh, and privacy is s myth.
Compelling WW2 historical fiction flick with a light tone and comedic lines as the body count continues to grow, and grow. Similar in ways to Inglorious Bastards. Learned a bit more about Britain’s bold clandestine adventures prior to the Yanks entering the war against Germany and friends. A bit over the top and only the German’s get bloodied. Worth a watch.
Iconic independent comedy masterpiece capturing life in LA in the early 90’s from the point of view of a group of struggling actors. Many of the cast went on to establish themselves as big time actors and directors. The basic storyline of struggling with work and relationships in a new environment holds up and is a timeless rewatchable. Bonus: Soundtrack is top shelf.
