Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning 2023
Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible is the closest thing we have to a live-action Nathan Drake and I fucking love him for that. This movie is a nonstop thrill ride of fight scenes and set pieces from start to finish and doesn’t merely take inspiration from a game like Uncharted but relishes in the opportunity to pull off something this batshit insane on the big screen. The average action movies have seen a steep decline in quality overall, but I’m pleased that Mission Impossible will never disappoint me—an absolute masterclass of action filmmaking.
