  I get really happy every time a new Osgood Perkins movie is released, because I have absolutely no idea on how I am going to feel about it. I love “The Blackcoat’s Daughter” and “Longlegs” but I also hate this one. Not as much as I hated “I am the pretty thing who lives in the walls” or whatever it was called, but still a pretty good deal.

  Young Woman and the Sea 2024

  Some movies, no matter how well made, are just not for us. I found this one to be way too sappy. The music, the dialogue, the predictable structure of the story … it’s too much for me. 

  Alguns filmes, por mais bem-feitos que sejam, simplesmente não foram feitos para gente. Achei esse aqui muito sentimental. A música, o diálogo, a história estruturadinha... é demais para mim.

  The Ladies Man 1961

  Since I don’t give half-star reviews I guess I’m giving it only two. The set design and color scheme are great but it’s not enough to make it
   fully enjoyable. A little Jerry Lewis goes a long way. Many of the gags don’t land for me.  Still, the film has some great moments (like the surrealist sequence in the white room).
  It would be a good double-feature with Beau Is Afraid.
