The lighting was so bizarrely distracting that I sometimes had a hard time actually processing the plot. Interesting concept, meandering pacing, can see all the pieces of a good homage but there were a lot of unserious choices.

Much Ado About Nothing 1993
This movie is the sound of the summer 20 years running and it's all thanks to white cotton dresses, Emma Thompson as Beatrice and Denzel Washington as Don Pedro, the outrageous levels of melodrama, romcom dialogue that stands the test of time but requires everyone to constantly be talking to themselves, the number of fountains, and RSL's pretty boy haircut bouncing with every movement.
Not a very deep examination of the source but a fun one.
