I enjoyed the costumes, and the fashion references are really fun.
I thought the acting was great. America Ferrara and Ryan Gosling both really put their backs into their roles.I feel like this movie references a lot of really big issues and doesn't explore them fully, and then there's a significant amount of time spent exploring the plight of men who fall for the patriarchy?
I don't understand why you would make a movie about Barbie have her co-lead…

Yeah so platonic and familial relationships as the scaffolding that support an adventurous life. I often struggle to watch movies about the plight of the middle class where theres not a critical analysis of the way the characters interact with money. I do find Frances at times and especially the people who she chooses to surround herself with infuriating and obtuse.
