Feels like the most “1st cut” of a movie I think I’ve ever seen. This one needed a bit more editing: its so slow to get going.
Then once it does get churning, I found the “monster” to be extremely lame. After the reveal all the tension going forward was gone.
And it’s all a real shame because Hunter is amazing. She is the best part of the film and deserves to be in something better. Book her!
If a Saturday morning cartoon suddenly took a very very gory turn. An awful B-movie about an ultimate intergalactic reawakened evil who must follow the whims of a spoiled brat…yeah it’s for me.
Loved the Power Rangers/Big Bad Beetleborgs vibes. Costumes/fx were all fun and fit the theme of the movie well. Wish some segments were played just a bit more straight, but I was able to sit back and enjoy the absurdity of it all. Needed more hunky boys.
So bad it’s good.
