  this really got to me. it’s such a sensitive take on aging that doesn’t lean on insecurity about physical appearance (which, like, pam looks stunning anyway). usually, movies about aging go straight there, which makes sense, we have this collective panic about our bodies getting older. but not here. neither shelly nor annette go down that road.

  the generational dynamic is so interesting too. when they’re talking about retirement, annette, who’s pushing 70, just lays it out, she’ll probably die…
