  I like the Legendary Godzilla franchise. The first remains the best, but I’ve returned to Skull Island, King of the Monsters and Godzilla v Kong and continue to enjoy them. I’m never rewatching this movie. 

  There’s an interesting idea at the center, unfortunately by the time the director has had all the actors shout poorly written exposition at you without pause for 90 minutes it’s no longer that interesting. Worse, the CGI spectacle it’s all supposedly building towards isn’t either.…

  Christopher Nolan's talky but breakneck sprint through Robert Oppenheimer's rise and fall searches for a singular truth in a complex man. Was he a pragmatic martyr, sacrificing himself in the victory of a race that was destined to be run? Or was he a narcissist in pursuit of glory, realizing too late his reach exceeds his grasp? What are we to make of the man who built the bomb? 

  Reminiscent of The Social Network, the film relies on sign posts…

  No story is uniquely overlong, as a collective they outstay their welcome. YMMV on each short film, if I didn’t view them as increasingly more entertaining I’d have had a bad time.
