Carry-On 2024
A lazy attempt at a Die-Hard esque protagonist-fighting-terrorist trope, complete with a predictable and bland plot. Some interesting themes re Russia poisoning+geopolitics but developed as shallow and lacking originality. Cast was ok, Taron Egerton underperformed.
Save your time and watch Die Hard again instead.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 2001
Rewatched the classic first film in the series & I’m reminded how fitting the soundtrack is. Also reminded of Richard Harris’ casting as Dumbledore in the first two films, though Michael Gambon played the character better, particularly in the middle films
